Position Overview
The IT Director will lead and manage all technology operations for Hallandale Pharmacy, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable systems that support the organization’s growth. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader with strong expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, manufacturing systems, and enterprise applications. The IT Director will oversee network and system administration, cloud environments, ERP/MES integrations, security operations, and all day-to-day IT functions. This position plays a critical role in modernizing the company’s technology landscape, building a high-performing IT team, and ensuring seamless technology support for all staff and business units.

The IT Director will oversee network and system administration, cloud environments, ERP/MES integrations, security operations, and all day-to-day IT functions. This position plays a critical role in modernizing the company’s technology landscape, building a high-performing IT team, and ensuring seamless technology support for all staff and business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the firm’s technology systems, ensuring seamless operations, cybersecurity, and strategic IT growth.
- Provide hands-on leadership with strong expertise in technology, network management, and IT best practices to support the firm’s leadership and employees.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of manufacturing processes and strong expertise in MES, ERP operations, predictive maintenance systems, data integration, and industrial automation.
- Manage the firm’s network, servers, workstations, and cloud environments. Maintain reliable networks, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, cloud telephony, endpoints, and business applications.
- Oversee IT networks, firewalls, telephony, onboarding, equipment procurement, office setup, service desk operations, vendors, security operations, and business-application uptime.
- Stabilize and optimize current operations by implementing and overseeing a service desk, incident response, change management processes, and SLA dashboards.
- Build and mentor the IT team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management of service desk, NOC, endpoint, network, and security engineers.
- Efficiently onboard and offboard staff using automated workflows.
- Demonstrate expertise in identity/SSO, lifecycle automation, ITSM, endpoint management, cloud telephony/VoIP, networking, and security operations.
- Lead the modernization roadmap by designing, budgeting, and executing a 12-month program that includes identity/SSO, lifecycle automation, ITSM rollout, zero-touch endpoint management, cloud telephony migration, ERP integration, domain consolidation, and overall security enhancements.
- Define clear roles, career paths, on-call rotations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement automation-first processes, including zero-touch provisioning (Okta + HRIS/MDM), join-move-leave workflows, self-service portals, CMDB, and automation of repetitive tasks.
- Lead end-to-end technical analysis and design of MES solutions (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, GE Proficy).
- Oversee technical configuration, customization, and integration of MES with ERP systems (JDE, SAP), LIMS, LabX, and other manufacturing systems.
- Coordinate with system integrators and internal developers to ensure delivery of robust functionalities such as predictive maintenance systems.
- Design and maintain interfaces between manufacturing systems and external systems (e.g., historians, quality systems, ERP, LIMS).
- Define data models, data flows, and ensure data integrity across manufacturing and connected systems.
- Align technology and infrastructure changes with CI/CD release calendars and platform architecture.
- Communicate effectively and produce clear documentation for executives, technicians, and operational teams.
- Oversee cybersecurity measures, including data protection, firewalls, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, client confidentiality).
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and ethical obligations related to client information.
- Conduct regular security audits and lead employee training on IT policies.
- Support planning, facility moves, and logistical needs for expansions in coordination with executives.
- Follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing when entering labs.
- Excellent communicator, interpersonal skills and time management.
- Proven experience in planning, executing, organization and development.
- Strong knowledge of IT processes and project management methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience with increasing responsibilities in management and support of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Superior understanding of all aspects of IT.
