Bryant Consultants, an Aperture company, Bryant Consultants is offering an opportunity for an experienced materials testing lab technician to join our team in providing high-level inspection, engineering, and project management services to our diverse client base. Candidates should be experienced in soil and concrete testing and construction materials and geotechnical testing in a laboratory setting.

Bryant Consultants, an Aperture company, Bryant Consultants is offering an opportunity for an experienced materials testing lab technician to join our team in providing high-level inspection, engineering, and project management services to our diverse client base. Candidates should be experienced in soil and concrete testing and construction materials and geotechnical testing in a laboratory setting.
Essential Functions
- Keep pace with a high volume of soils testing in an efficient and consistent manner.
- Review job folder to determine that all information is accurate and readily available.
- Log in samples of materials, set up samples including weighing and drying samples.
- Catalog, prepare, analyze, and report results from the processing of soil samples.
- Carry-out laboratory preparation, testing and analysis of soil samples, observing quality control procedure and good laboratory practice
- Execute work duties in an organized and efficient manner that is safe and follows company policies and procedures ensuring quality of samples.
- Enter test data using the proper forms.
- Organize and process laboratory data in spreadsheets prior to detailed analysis.
- Perform regular general servicing and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including trouble shooting.
- Organize and maintain soil lab and soil storage.
- Maintain an organized and clean work and lab area.
- Assist field department and construction materials testing department as required by Supervisor.
- Recognizing and performing duties, which need to be performed, although not directly assigned, and assisting others as needed.
- Performing all duties and testing in an independent manner with little supervision as well as performing other duties and tasks assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

Physical Requirements
This position requires that you have the physical ability to perform all the following functions:
- Climb ladders, walk on roofs, enter and work in confined spaces, work outdoors in hot or cold weather, lift up to 50 pounds, and use necessary safety equipment.
- Perform duties that may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or squatting for prolonged periods of time
- May be required to travel for business purposes.
- The ability to sit at a desk up to 80% of the time
- The ability to stand and walk up to 20% of the time
- The ability to be confined in a small area, such as a cubicle
- The ability to operate phones and computers
