Position Title: Ground Equipment Mechanic

The Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance on GSE, assisting with Fargo Jet Center (FJC) fleet vehicles, and other fuel farm equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain ground support equipment (GSE) 

• Preventative maintenance and repairs on all pieces of GSE 
  • Fueling trucks (various types and ages) 
  • Tugs (electric, gas and diesel) 
  • Fueling trucks (various types and ages) 
  • Forklift and TooAviation Ground Support Equilcat 
  • Courtesy vehicles and work vehicles 
  • Heat carts, Ground Power Unit, Air start, Crew stairs, etc. 
    • Respond to after hour maintenance requests when necessary 
    • Maintain records on all equipment 
• Assist with Regular maintenance and maintain records for fuel farm 
  • Annual filter changes 
  • Annual tank inspections 
  • Fix any leaks, breaks, or motor issues 
• Provide progress updates to FJC management 
• Must be able to work scheduled hours.  
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor. 

What We’re Looking For:

• High School diploma or GED required 
• 3+ years as an automotive or heavy equipment mechanic 
• Strong work ethic 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team  
• Must have a clear driving record for the past 3 years 
• Must provide own tools 
• Diesel tech experience not required but strongly preferred 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, pulling and pushing
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures
• Ability to work with heights
• Ability to work with toxic chemicals, fumes and loud noises (with proper protection)

Shift Available:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
