Description

Power Play Distributors is a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) company based in Bolingbrook, IL that is responsible for the distribution of premium frozen pizza products throughout the Midwestern states. The Yard Spotter (Jockey) will be responsible for moving trailers and other equipment around the yard and ensuring that they are properly positioned for loading and unloading.

Function

• Move Class A trailers and other equipment around the yard using a Class A Yard Cab or semi cab
• Being able to back trailers into dock doors safely
• Ensure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading
• Perform daily safety checks on yard truck and report any issues to management
• Assist with loading and unloading of trailers as needed
• Communicate with other yard personnel and management to ensure efficient operations
• DOT and safety compliance
  
  

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for extended period, tight space and maneuver trailer to include climb stairs.
• Ability to lift to 25 to 45 pounds
• Operating heavy machinery such as yard trucks and forklifts.
• Working in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and noise
• Maintaining a clean and organized work are to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL Class A driver's license and clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a yard truck or similar equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
