The role

We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate with professional experience in Clinical Optometry to work on a study funded by the Bristol & Weston Hospital Charity. The aim of the study is to develop guidelines and educational materials to help health care professionals to appropriately diagnose and manage patients with Papilloedema and Pseudopapilloedema.

What will you be doing?

The post holder will take the lead on the development of the educational materials to support the implementation of DiPP guidelines. The study involves collaboration between primary and secondary care clinicians and external stakeholders with researchers at the University of Bristol.

For the SRA position, a relevant postgraduate research degree or equivalent professional experience in the research area and track history of developing research and educational tools is required

Contract type: Fixed Term for 6 months

Work pattern: Part time up to 7 hours per week/20% time (some flexibility to increase up to 16 hours depending on appointed grade/salary)

Grade: I or J

Salary: £39,906 - £44,746 / £43,482 - £50,253 per annum pro rata
