We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer for our Beaverton office who will work with a competent multi-discipline team of peers with a wide range of experience levels. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new office serving industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities
This is a mid-to senior-level position for applicants with experience in creating Revit models and performing AutoCAD for the creation of construction documents. We are looking for candidates with the following experience:
- Develop and revise piping system layouts, plans, sections, and isometrics using AutoCAD, Revit, or CADWorx software.
- Interpretation of P&IDs and specifications to produce piping designs that are in accordance with project and plant standards.
- Interdisciplinary routing coordination, including clash detection and mitigation.
- Support field verification, laser scanning, and as-built documentation efforts.
- May lead a team on an assigned area or phase of a project and may be required to conduct field investigation trips to operating plants.
- Revit family creation.
- Integrating 3D scans into Revit and CADWorx models.
- Modeling of piping systems. Experience with structural and electrical modeling is a plus.
- Publishing construction drawings.
- Performing clash detection and coordinating models in Navisworks.
- Coordination with engineering team members in mechanical, electrical, structural, and other disciplines.
- Participation in internal review meetings to discuss design strategy and progress.
- Understanding of typical utility routing strategies, installation spatial requirements, and typical system components and devices.
- Take ownership of assigned scope, schedule, and budget, delegating tasks to junior staff as needed. Consistently delivers accurate, high-quality work on time.
- Demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, and reliability in all design deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills and team player.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to learn quickly and grasp new concepts.
- Dedication and commitment, including punctuality and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Proficiency with Revit, CADWorkx and AutoCAD Software
- Associate of Science in Drafting, AutoCAD, and modeling technology (or equivalent)
- 10+ years of piping design experience in industrial facilities.
