OPENS: 19 NOVEMBER 2025 CLOSES: 3 DECEMBER 2025 Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking a full-time Lead Logistics Management Specialist to work in the Minuteman III (MMIII) Ground Mechanical Branch, Operational Ground Equipment (OGE) Section at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This position (180525) is an NH-346-03, which has a typical 2025 salary range of $88,621 - $137,000. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Lead Logistics Management Specialist for MMIII Ground Mechanical, OGE Section. The position will provide critical support across multiple Working Groups, stakeholders from multiple organizations, and manage cradle to grave life cycle logistics for assigned programs. DUTIES:

  • Provides critical support to the Ground Mechanical OGE Section Integrated Product Team (IPT) across all Working Groups (WG) and the Ground Mechanical OGE Section 1st Line Supervisor by utilizing all available resources to meet mission needs.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs workload responsibilities and priorities across all WG’s within the IPT.
  • Assumes a leadership role and performs WG lead functions to organize multiple organizational entities into an integrated and cohesive team.
  • Applies Department of Defense (DoD) Life Cycle Logistics methodology to ensure effective and efficient sustainment for the Ground Mechanical OGE Section of the MMIII weapon system. SKILLS:
  • Familiarity with nuclear enterprise, preferably with MMIII Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) is desired.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are required to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in mentoring, team leadership and/or team building is highly valued.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders to meet mission requirements is highly preferred. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
  • Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Life Cycle Logistics “Foundational” Level certification within 36 months of appointment.
