- Plays a crucial role in bringing our design visions to life by providing technical expertise, developing detailed drawings, and ensuring that design concepts are seamlessly translated into built environments while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in interior design, execution and living design.
- Collaborates closely with project managers, architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive design solutions that align with project goals and client expectations.
- Provides project team coordination for plans, details, specifications, and material selections; ensure design intent is incorporated into the contract documents.
- In partnership with Senior Interior Designer and Design Principal, coordinates integration of basic systems into the overall project design.
- Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
- Utilizes Revit, and other relevant software to produce detailed technical drawings, construction documents, and specifications for interior spaces.
- Understands and uses firm digital tools to enhance the project delivery and client needs.
- Conducts site surveys and assessments to gather relevant information and ensure accurate documentation of existing conditions.
- Oversees the BIM model creation and maintains standards for the model.
- Coordinates with consultants, contractors, and vendors to integrate technical requirements, building codes, and regulatory standards into the design process.
- Works with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
- Produces, reviews, and analyzes accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of projects to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
- Provides technical support and guidance throughout the construction phase, addressing any issues or challenges that may arise and ensuring the successful execution of the design vision.
- Participates in construction administration conducts site visits, addresses technical issues, and maintains quality control during construction.
- During pricing reviews, provides guidance on scope alignment and advice on cost savings.
- Stays up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in interior design and technical documentation to enhance expertise and contribute to continuous improvement.

- Knowledge of local building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.
- Experience in construction document preparation and field observation

- BIM
- Building codes and guidelines as applicable (ADA, FGI, etc.)
- Programming, planning, and site analysis
- Preliminary design studies

- Life safety requirements
- Furniture and interior product specifications
- Furniture bid packages
- Construction contract administration
- Cost estimates and calculations
- Accessibility and zoning analysis
- Documentation of Living Design data, including material health
- Advanced knowledge of 2D/3D production software

- Conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper

- LEED GA within 6 months of hire
- Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation
- Professional interiors licensure preferred, not required
- Bachelor's degree in interiors, architecture or, related discipline required
