Responsibilities
As a Grocery Transportation Supervisor, you’ll be the go-to leader for your team and a key player in our distribution success. Your responsibilities include:
- Lead & Develop: Hire, coach, mentor, and train team members while managing performance and growth.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure grocery routes and backhauls run smoothly.
- Support Our Drivers: Be available beyond office hours to resolve issues and provide leadership support when needed.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Distribution Centers and store leadership to optimize delivery schedules and improve efficiencies.
- Champion Safety & Training: Assist with annual safety programs, new driver onboarding, and ongoing development.
- Innovate for Impact: Identify opportunities to enhance service and streamline processes for maximum store-level success.

Compensation
Starting pay range:$74,200 - $97,300. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- One year of experience in transportation or distribution role required.
- Preferred candidate will have experience supervising and leading a team (transportation leadership is a plus). Demonstrated experience leading, directing, communicating change, and developing a team strongly desired.
- Strong skill base and comfort with technology including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and routing or dispatching systems.
- Transportation-related (Federal, State and DOT), food safety-related (FSMA) and operations-related safety (OSHA), regulatory compliance policies, and quality control practices preferred.
- Able to work with minimum supervision, meet the scheduled timelines, and organize the work accordingly.
- Experience with electronic logging devices is preferred.
