Job Description
The machine operator is a role designed to maintain the functionality of various machines throughout production, on a shift. This essential role is necessary to equip personnel with continuous production of products.

1st Shift
The machine operator is a role designed to maintain the functionality of various machines throughout production, on a shift. This essential role is necessary to equip personnel with continuous production of products.
Key Accountabilities/ Outcomes
- Clean, set up, operate, and monitor equipment.
- Understand how to read the schedule.
- Ensure proper materials have been loaded. (cans, valves, caps).
- Fill out pre-operational checklist.
- Know how to read a pressure gauge.
- Check the scale weights on the filler and gasser machinery.
- Perform butterfat test.
- Sign off for the release of a batch.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
- Spray off equipment hourly with sanitizing water to ensure machine cleanliness.
- Perform filler and gasser changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare equipment for the next run to include size changes as needed.
- Perform CIP/COP and sterilization process on filler and gasser machine.
- Flush hot water into the filler machine after production is complete.
- Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
- Provide fellow operators with lunch and breaks during scheduled times.
- Responsible for knowing and adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations.
- Could read and interpret documents.
- Able to effectively work in a team environment.
- Effectively/Professionally communicate in English
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- 3-5 years previous operator experience preferred.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Work in high noise areas and use mandatory hearing protection.
- Ability to stack boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Will be exposed to non-climate control areas (hot and cold areas)
- Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and moving around the facility.
- Must be able to climb a ladder. (4 feet)
