Duties
- Develop and implement a multi-year capital plan/manual for all facilities, prioritizing maintenance, repairs and improvements.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including construction, renovations and site improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage complex budgets for capital projects and facilities operations.
- Select, negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors, contractors and other professionals.
- Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all buildings and grounds, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, custodial and landscaping services.
- Ensures that all motor vehicles are maintained, inspected and insured in accordance with applicable federal and state requirements.
- Maintains, manages and updates the organization’s maintenance request and building planned maintenance programs using electronic facilities work-order management system to deliver timely and responsive service.

Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in facilities management, with several years in a leadership role, preferably in a school and/or healthcare environment.
- Experience managing facilities operations within the nonprofit sector a plus.
- Track record of successfully managing budgets.
- Experience costing, estimating and managing capital projects.
- Extensive experience managing maintenance request and building planned maintenance programs using electronic facilities work-order management systems (i.e. SchoolDude).
