Air Control Home Services is launching a structured Academy to develop future HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical professionals. We are seeking an Academy Instructor who will deliver the technical classroom curriculum and support students through each academy block. This position is not responsible for hands-on lab training or field training—those areas are led by the Training Leader.
NOTE: This position is grant funded until August 2026, at that time the position will be re-evaluated and may or may not continue.

Programs run in three-month blocks, and some academies may overlap. This role focuses on teaching, tracking progress, supporting students, and keeping the classroom running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction
- Teach the technical lesson plans provided in our curriculum.
- Instruct students through classroom-based learning, demonstrations, and guided discussions.
- Reinforce safety basics, industry concepts, professionalism, and company expectations.
- Maintain an organized, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Track attendance, grades, quizzes, and performance benchmarks.
- Provide coaching and feedback to help students stay on track.
- Communicate progress updates to the Training Leader and relevant managers.
- Prepare classrooms and materials before each session.
- Keep curriculum documents organized and up to date.
- Help coordinate scheduling for overlapping academy cohorts.
- Research new teaching trends in skilled trades education.
- Provide feedback to improve curriculum delivery, engagement, and student success.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field).
- Minimum 3 years in a teaching or educational role.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to teach structured lessons and guide learners with varying experience levels.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Experience with adult learning or vocational education.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical concepts (not required but helpful).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
