VP Enterprise Applications at District Partners
District Partners has been engaged by a leading organization in the construction and built-environment sector to identify a Vice President of Enterprise Applications. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for modernizing and integrating the company’s full enterprise application landscape—driving efficiency, improving data quality, and enabling AI-driven capabilities across the business.
Reporting to the CFO, this leader will oversee teams across data architecture, integrations, core application development, and PMO. The organization is well-funded, complex, and deeply operational, making this an opportunity for someone who knows how to turn modern SaaS ecosystems into real-world gains.
What You'll Do:
- Own and execute the enterprise application strategy spanning ERP, CRM, HRIS, project management platforms, and a wide portfolio of operational tools.
- Lead transformation efforts focused on reducing manual work, improving system usability, and simplifying processes.
- Oversee the design and launch of a new Azure-based project financial management interface integrated with Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Ensure strong integration across technologies such as Workday, Dynamics, Azure, Procore-type platforms, Oracle Cloud, and related systems.
- Manage leaders responsible for data architecture & integrations, application development, and PMO.
- Direct external implementation partners while maintaining accountability, timelines, and quality.
- Promote a culture grounded in execution, clarity, and pragmatic problem-solving.
- Navigate the realities of modern SaaS, including release cycles, extension frameworks, and non-customizable core features.
- Identify and apply AI/ML capabilities that meaningfully improve workflow and decision-making.
- Advance data architecture modernization efforts, including data lakehouse development and integration frameworks (e.g., Boomi).
- Improve master data management as systems stabilize.
- Partner closely with Operations and Finance leadership to ensure technology aligns with real-world workflows and field needs.
- Work effectively within large-organization governance structures while still pushing delivery forward.
What You'll Have:
- Significant experience leading enterprise applications in complex, multi-system environments.
- Industry background in construction, engineering, real estate development, or similarly operational sectors preferred.
- Strong balance of strategy and hands-on execution; must deliver outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of SaaS environments, extension models, and customization constraints.
- Experience with Azure development, data lakehouse architecture, and integration tools such as Boomi.
- Comfortable with hybrid landscapes (SaaS + custom + legacy).
- Able to implement AI/ML in practical, operationally relevant ways.
- Strong executive-level communication and influence skills.
- Demonstrated success in vendor and partner management.
- Thrives in a fast-moving, high-visibility setting.
Additional Notes:
- Local presence in Northern Virginia is required due to the level of executive interaction and operational touchpoints.
- Experience with platforms such as Oracle Fusion Cloud, Workday, Dynamics, Azure, and construction-centric project management tools is highly advantageous.
