Human Resources Generalist at H-Wave
The Opportunity
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Their duties include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to execute the hiring and onboarding process for company employees.

The Job
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including: compensation, benefits, and leave (LOA, ADA, etc); disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety (OSHA and Work Comp); and training and development.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Evaluates employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly; using pay bands and historical research.
- Takes appropriate disciplinary action for employees who violate rules and regulations, addressing employee grievances.
- Assists in Payroll and Benefits Administration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in HR, business or another related field
- 1-3 years HR experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills including data entry, data processing, communication tools an payroll and HRIS
- Problem solving and resourceful thinking skills
- Leadership and coaching skills
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and analytically driven
Physical Requirements
This is a position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
