Department Overview
Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric Operations actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems, and create standard work. Position Summary
The Portfolio Operations group is primarily responsible for Portfolio Management of PG&E’s Electric annual Workplan delivery in order to meet the Company’s obligations in a reliable and economic manner.
As part of this function, the group is tasked with providing data driven execution insights, leveraging our Lean Playbook to monitor and improve our annual work delivery, and ensure appropriate Portfolio level management of our overall annual budget and workplan. This includes the integration of Lean Visual Management tools into Operating Review forums and ensures that data outputs are embedded into standard operational processes.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $136,000
Bay Area Maximum: $232,000
OR
California Minimum: $147,000
California Maximum: $252,000

Job Responsibilities
- Leads technical development and analytics to enable Lean Visual Management tools and the Operating Review forums where those tools are leveraged to drive business action.
- Builds the foundation of the Electric Ops tool stack to bring improved visibility into Distribution, Transmission, and Substation work and a consolidated plan. Ensures outputs from deliverables are built into standard operational processes.
- Develops tools that enable Electric Operations to execute in line with their approved annual budget.
- Ensures accurate and auditable visual management of PG&E's compliance standings across multiple programs and regulatory filings.
- Acts as a thought leader applying extensive data analytics in the development of strategy or resolution to complex data issues. Creates very complex automated data routines and processes for accurate reporting.
- Acts as team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees.
- Analyzes data using various advanced statistical tools to develop complex ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.
- Presents/communicates clear, concise and actionable data analysis for clients. Works with Senior Management and influences decision-making through data driven analysis.
- Manages very complex data analysis projects with very limited supervision from initial request to presenting data results ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on-time.
Minimum:
- BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
- Job-related experience, 8 years
- Masters Degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Utility domain knowledge (e.g. EO Workplan) and data expetise
- Technical skillsets e.g. Python, SQL, Snowflake, PowerBI, GitHub, and understanding of database structures (in support of the EO Workplan)
