Career Summary

The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking to hire an Event Sponsorships and Exhibits Manager.

The Event Sponsorships and Exhibits Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) exhibit hall and event sponsorship sales, which are sold by ANE’s event sales vendor. As Event Sponsorships and Exhibits Manager, you will play an integral role within the Sales Team reporting to the Director of Sales Relationships. You will be the primary and highly confidential customer service contact to clients, leading fulfillment of sales contracts, implementing client solutions, and producing robust sales and performance reports.

In this role you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing event sponsorships while driving sales growth through strategic relationship management and business development. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales Relationships, you will work on forecasting anticipated market sales, set sales quotas for vendor, and advise upper management about sales and exhibit floor performance. In addition, you will collaborate with ANE’s sales vendor and ANE/program leadership to develop and implement new exhibit floor and event sponsorship campaigns, initiatives, strategies, and programs to attract new and retain current customers.

You will also generate and maintain reports and analyses for ANE and clients to monitor and measure if goals are being met. You must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you will regularly be interfacing with vendors, external customers, and internal departments such as Strategic Communications, ANA/ANCC Programs, Office of General Counsel, and Finance as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Achieve annual sales targets to support ANE event goals and objectives.
  • Serve as liaison to Senior Leadership and primary point of contact for ANE event sponsorships.
  • In coordination with ANE’s sales vendors, develop and manage event concepts, timelines, budgets, and logistics.
  • Work closely with other ANE product/program teams and marketing to establish and disseminate event prospectus.
  • Work closely with program owners and meeting services team in identifying event locations and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Oversee on-site event management, including setup, staffing, and exhibitor/sponsor experience.
  • Manages cross-promotion of digital advertising packages to conference exhibitors and sponsors.
  • Collaborate with communications and strategic engagement teams, to promote events and sales initiatives and deliverables in a highly confidential setting working with ANE’s C-suite.
  • Collaborate with Accredited Provider Unit (APU) to ensure compliance with Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) accreditation standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and event details.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effective event execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Create event timelines, floor plans, and run-of-show documents for internal and external use.
  • Track and report on sales goals, event performance, client feedback, and revenue metrics.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships by providing strong customer service, ensuring communications are timely and maximize.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments to create new opportunities or packages, leveraging internal SMEs.

What You Bring To The American Nurses Enterprise

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Related Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience

Computer Skills Required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and database CRM systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn software applications used - knowledge of Workfront and HubSpot a plus.

Other Skills

  • Proven track record of successful event management, customer service and business development.
  • Proven track record of large-scale project management.
  • Proven ability to adapt to market changes and experiment with new ideas to sell solutions
  • Quickly learn new technology as it develops.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to keep abreast of best practices and trends.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs, in person or via phone and video conference tools.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively interact and establish deep working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to travel to meetings/conferences/events 2-6 times per year, as needed.
  • High level of energy and desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and occasional travel up to five (5) times per year.
