Schedule: Monday - Friday

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Drylock Core Values: Safety, Respect, Ownership
  • Support the purchasing department by analyzing inventory and production data to insure effective procurement levels and costs.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate vendor master files and associated purchase history records.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
  • Assist in maintaining cost standards and forecasts for purchased items.
  • Participate in supplier qualification along with Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Production.
  • Assist in developing and implementing alternate sources of supply to maintain the Company’s competitive position.
  • Assist in MRO purchasing, including pricing research and determining steps to enhance buying power for such purchases.
  • Create, manage and expedite purchase orders; obtain Order Confirmations and ensure shipments and deliveries are timely and accurate.
  • Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers.
  • Expedite materials as needed and work as liaison with outside subcontractors.
  • Support the Product Development Department in solicitations of and related to materials for new products.
  • Assist in managing the supplier’s performance and create action plans to address those with unsatisfactory scores.
  • Provide information to Operations regarding availability of material.
  • Provide information to Product Development, Quality Control and Production regarding changes to supplier specifications, change orders, quantities and adjustments.
  • Analyze changes to new issues in materials and supplies to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Reconciles purchase receipts, prices, and vendor invoices.

Profile

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years in a purchasing environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with, SAP systems and Microsoft Excel software
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred

  • Have excellent communication skills.
