How You'll Contribute
Responsible for the oversight of all clinical treatment programs of patients receiving treatment for psychiatric, and substance use issues in the
outpatient setting. The Director assures that high quality clinical care is provided and that clinical functions are integrated. Director supervises family
and group counseling and develops, implements, and supervises a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities/processes. Oversees discharge planning
to ensure an optimal post hospital transition. Responsible for ensuring that clinical documentation is current and accurate and meets all regulatory and
other standards.
Essential Functions
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality stand-ards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

Qualifications And Requirements
- Education: Master's degree from an accredited school of social work or is qualified by education and experience in the social services needs of patients with psychiatric and substance use issues.
- Experience: Previous experience in outpatient healthcare required. A knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles required.
- License: Current unencumbered clinical social work or counseling license.
- Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
