Description

As a Staff Accountant in Client Advisory Services at Hungerford, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a diverse portfolio of business, governmental, and non-profit clients across West Michigan. Your day will be dynamic—balancing accounting support, collaborating with clients and team members, and contributing to projects that drive organizational success. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine accounting tasks and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain client payables
  • Process payroll and tax reporting, ensuring timely sales and use tax filings
  • Assist with research and filing annual 1099 returns
  • Develop proficiency in client technology (QuickBooks Online, BILL, GUSTO, Asana)
  • Manage expectations, budgets, and deadlines
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience highly preferred
  • QuickBooks Online experience highly preferred
