Job Location: The Maintenance Shop is located in Bedford, NH. All other sites are in southern NH and within 30 minutes of the shop.

LaMontagne Builders, Inc., is hiring a full-time experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The best candidate would be able to conduct repairs and maintenance for heavy equipment that includes excavators, loaders, rollers, skid steers, and a fleet of commercial vehicles both large and small. This position encompasses both field work and work in shop.
A qualified applicant must their own tools needed to complete work described below.

This position encompasses both field work and work in shop.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered equipment and vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance services and inspections per company schedule.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct field service calls for breakdowns or emergency repairs.
- Operate diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify malfunctions.
- Perform component replacements, rebuilds, and adjustments (brakes, steering, transmission, etc.).
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 3+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience (construction preferred).
- Valid driver’s license required; May require CDL or DOT Medical Card
- Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform work that involves frequent standing, bending, and climbing.
- Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
- MSHA, OSHA, or similar safety training a plus.
