Service Planning’s purpose is to enable improved and/or sustained customer service satisfaction through meeting demand for a product over a period of time. What to make, when to make it, how much to make, where to make it and what materials and resources are required are determined through the production planning process. In addition to ensuring the desired customer service level is maintained, production planning seeks to maximize operating efficiency and optimize resource usage and inventory investment.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
91,000- 147,200.00

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the regional spares deployment on weekly basis, and planning of spare parts in support of field engineers, distributors, and direct customers to maintain the target regional fill-rate.
- Determine supply and maintain target stocking inventory levels based upon usage and set targets at regional CSL (Central Stocking Location)/FSL (Forward Stocking Location). Adjust targets per regional agreed and recommendation and planner approval
- Monitor service materials In-Transit, investigate and resolve in-trans materials that are beyond the desired number of days.
- Work closely with production planning and the repair depot to insure we are meeting customer expectations and desired customer service level.
- Establish effective communication with supporting functions to resolve issues that my impact the spare parts service levels. This includes but not limited to purchasing, manufacturing planning, repair depot, engineering, quality, regulatory, customer service and document control.
- Set target stocking levels for FRU’s based on historical usage and based on input from product experts. Maintains appropriate target and reorder points to meet business fill rate targets.
- Participate in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules.
- Minimize SLOB, perform excess and obsolete inventory reviews. Timely dispositions of materials; plan and reserve for EOL (End of Life) support.
- ECO (Engineering Change Order) review and implementation, work with Engineering and Service Planning to disposition to minimize impact to SLOB and service level.
- Analyze performance metrics for Service 3PL Regions, determine root cause and corrective action if outside tolerance, this includes back-orders and on-time in full customer order fulfillment.
- Develop and further relationships with international J&J service organizations, 3rd party logistics partners, and internal Engineering, Operations and Finance groups.
- Supporting EOL by working with purchasing to complete last time buy or engineer to qualify replacement.
- Responsible for spares NPI for respected products on the core team. Work with Spares Master Scheduler to add forecast for new spare parts and set-up in SAP to flow through the Service Supply Chain.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; Supply Chain is preferred.
- Master’s degree is preferred
- APICS Training & Certification are preferred.
- 4+years of related work experience in planning, supply chain or sourcing is required.
- Experience with a ERP Planning Systems is required.
- Working in a plant manufacturing environment is required.
- Familiar with FDA, cGMP, CE and other Medical Device Industry regulations and requirements is preferred.
- Sophisticated Microsoft Office tools capabilities is preferred.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills – ability to manage and manipulate large amounts of data and covert to clear business information is required
- Ability to influence others in a matrix environment.
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Travel percentage – 5% travel domestically and internationally.
