At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Material Handler based in Springfield, Oregon!
In this role, you will be responsible for
- You will provide all production materials before and during production runs and return unused materials to the proper location following production runs.
- You will maintain plant FIFO inventory practices throughout the facility and follow all department and company standards and standard operating procedures.
- You will ensure waste/recycling materials (pallets, buckets, barrels, cardboard) are organized and place in the appropriate location.
- You will pre-stage, stage, and consolidate materials on pallets to meet product and storage needs.
- You will operate a variety of powered industrial vehicles in a heavily pedestrian trafficked environment, narrow aisles, and hot/cold/wet conditions.
- You will load pallets of finished goods onto trailers and unload materials/ingredients from trailers and hot/cold storage areas.
About You
- You will have a High School Diploma or GED.
- You will have a minimum of six months’ experience operating a forklift, pallet jacks, and other Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs).
- You will have or obtain a company forklift operator certification.
- You will have trained and qualified as a Hand Packer.
