Duties
As a Hatchery Technician (Fish and Wildlife Technician) in Wizard Falls Hatchery in Camp Sherman, Oregon, you will provide support to Fall River Hatchery and the East Region. These duties include:

Fish and Wildlife Technician ($3705 - $5066):
Option 1: An Associate's degree in Fisheries Technology, Aquaculture or Aquarium Science;

Minimum qualifications are not established for this classification (there are no minimum qualifications). Previous related experience is desirable.

Duties
As a Hatchery Technician (Fish and Wildlife Technician) in Wizard Falls Hatchery in Camp Sherman, Oregon, you will provide support to Fall River Hatchery and the East Region. These duties include:
- Fish husbandry
- Conduct and keep records on routine fish culture activities
- Perform routine maintenance on hatchery equipment
- Operate equipment such as: tractor, UTV, lawn tractor, golf cart
- Fish liberation
- Grounds and building maintenance
- Give hatchery tours

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Fish and Wildlife Technician ($3705 - $5066):
Option 1: An Associate's degree in Fisheries Technology, Aquaculture or Aquarium Science;
- OR-
Equivalency Notes
- A higher-level degree in Fisheries Science or a closely-related degree with at least 45 quarter (30 semester) hours of biological/ecological coursework will substitute for the Associate's degree.
Minimum qualifications are not established for this classification (there are no minimum qualifications). Previous related experience is desirable.
Desired Attributes
- Experience with fish culture in a hatchery setting
- Experience with water systems and maintenance
- Experience collecting and recording data
- Building maintenance experience
- Experience operating and maintaining equipment
- Experience working operating hand and power tools
