Staff Accountant at W3Global

We are currently partnered with a respected law firm seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial accuracy, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This role includes cash flow management, financial reporting, forecasting, and overseeing client trust/IOLTA and legal deposit accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure proper liquidity for operations and payroll.
• Maintain and reconcile client trust (IOLTA) and legal deposit accounts in strict compliance with ethical requirements.
• Assist with financial forecasts, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Support external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings by preparing required documentation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
• Provide financial insights to management and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with retention policies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred (not required).
• 3-5 years of accounting experience; experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus.
• Trust/IOLTA account management experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar), Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
• Bookkeeping experience required.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000/year
