EMS/Training Coordinator at Corvac Composites, LLC

Corvac Composites LLC, is looking to fill the position of EMS/Training Coordinator for it’s San Marcos, TX location. The purpose of this position is to manage the EMS, to prepare, facilitate, monitor and document training activities and to be compliant with ISO14001 standards and all customer requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

  • Fully participate in and support the EMS System, Training, Safety and Corvac Quality System and all policies and procedures
  • Understand Quality Assurance forms and acknowledge any quality alerts/key points.
  • Document control of EMS/Training/Safety documents and some HR documents.
  • Develop and implement health and environmental strategy, policies, and procedures in line with company, local, state, and federal standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Oversee, develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on emergency response protocols, and environmental conservation practices.
  • Track all employee training and keep management abreast of training needs
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Safety/Training/EMS programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices, and communicate changes and updates to the organization.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, participating in inspections, audits, and permit applications.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and coordinate drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.
  • Engage employees at all levels to implement initiatives for improved environmental performance.
  • Coordinate and submit Tier II reports.
  • Oversee Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
  • Manage stormwater compliance programs.

Qualified Candidates Must Possess The Following

  • Environmental administration experience in a Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written) while working across functional boundaries to effectively train employees, facilitate discussions
  • Organizational ability, detail-mindedness, computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the document control process.
  • Certified Environmental Auditor with ISO 14001 audit experience.
  • Manufacture 2030 software experience desired
  • Strong knowledge of health and environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and systems to manage and track safety data and information.
