  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 10 years of experience in supply chain operations, specializing in materials management, inventory control or physical delivery of technical hardware.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with direct reports.
  • 5 years of experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Inventory Management, with experience in ERP (e.g., SAP) systems and data analysis (e.g., SQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • Experience with the supply chain and delivery of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) or similar complex distributed hardware (e.g., Google Distributed Cloud).
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes to support advanced inventory control and configuration/kitting operations.
  • Expertise in Global Logistics and Transportation, specifically managing secure, last-mile delivery for high-value technical assets.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

The Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Supply Chain team is dedicated to building an intelligent, scalable, and resilient supply chain that powers GDC, which extends Google's infrastructure, compute, AI, and edge capabilities to customer data centers and hybrid environments globally. This mission connects innovation to execution by building trusted global partnerships and accelerating time-to-market. Key leadership roles in this effort include the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, who leads the sourcing and supplier strategy for OEM hardware (Compute, Network and Storage) and system integration partners, ensuring secure and scalable deployments; and the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations and Materials Management, who serves as the "Execution Engine" responsible for the flawless, on-time, and cost-effective physical delivery of GDC hardware, mastering global logistics and driving end-to-end operational excellence to meet demanding customer installation schedules.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and logistics network to ensure all hardware shipments meet On-Time and In-Full (OTIF) commitments to the customer.
  • Maintain global accountability for all GDC assets and enforce policies for Inventory Accuracy (IA) and materials control across the supply chain.
  • Oversee kitting and staging operations to ensure the final product configuration precisely matches the customer’s Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Own the materials and logistics Operational Expenditure (OpEx) budget and serve as the execution leader in the Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Design and manage the end-to-end material flow for returns, refurbishment, and End-of-Life (EOL) asset disposition.
