Under direction of an operational director, assists in the direction, coordination and control of operational
activities of health care setting programs across the System to ensure optimal utilization of human and
material resources. Serves as a principal assistant to leadership on operational matters and may be
directly responsible for operational activities for specific projects and/or programs. Acts in compliance
with all applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations and other applicable external regulatory

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists with directing, supervising, and coordinating all administrative and operational functions and
- Participates in the development, review and implementation of programs, policies, procedural
goals and objectives and compliance with regulatory standards and industry standards.
- Directs the planning, development and design of the appropriate control mechanisms for organizational
- Recommends, initiates and controls investigations of operational activities, monitors and audits related
- Monitors progress pertaining to the resolution of operational problems and implementation activities to
- Works collaboratively with primary stake holders to develop and implement best practice guidelines and
- Maintains liaison between operational units, health care settings and Central Office support services to
- Directs the administration and coordination of special programs, as assigned by leadership. Represents

- Assists in the development of operating budget and ensures operations run within budgetary guidelines.
- Conducts and/or participates in meetings, conferences and seminars affecting operational activities, as
- Provides general supervision including direction, assignment and evaluation of operating and support
- Evaluates staff performance and work programs and provides leadership to obtain productivity and
- Directs the preparation of comprehensive reports relating to operational activities of assigned projects,
- Serves as on-call duty officer for operational issues on nights, weekends and holidays and conducts day
- Performs other related duties, as directed
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Engineering, Health Care Specialization, Physical or Social Sciences or a related discipline; and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative, managerial and/or consultative experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in “1” above; and six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative, managerial and/or consultative experience; or
- Satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines, as listed in “1” above.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR preferred.

- Experience in human resources healthcare in a large and complex setting
- Effective critical evaluation of human resources information systems
- General knowledge of policies and programs utilized in the operation of a hospital or medical care center, ability to assimilate and analyze data to recommend action based on analytical findings, and to assist in the resolution of health care administration and management problems.
