Job Overview
The Manager Fulfillment Planning balances assigned MU inventory with sales forecasts, optimizes logistics, and supports product launches. The supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams for seasonal/holiday inventory builds, holiday planning, downtime planning, vacation coverage planning, and pilots innovative software approaches to reduce manual work. Managers ensure MU Fulfillment planners follow daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of safety stock (SS) strategies for the holiday season and inventory builds. This includes adjusting SS levels through guardrails, the allocation calendar, and SKU forecasting to meet demand spikes. The role involves collaborating with demand teams, production managers, and ensuring SS is built and deployed effectively. Key tasks include managing input sheets, coordinating uploading processes, and ensuring timely communication of changes. The manager also identifies core flavors and MU-dependent SKUs, and determines SS usage for KDP flavors, ensuring inventory readiness and smooth operations during the holiday season.
- Pilots new features and processes within BlueYonder to improve supply chain planning. They test, analyze, and implement solutions to enhance demand forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory optimization.
- Attends downtime planning meetings and provides feedback to warehouse teams/RCT on any expected out-of-source lanes, version changes, and pallet configurations.
- Responsible for setting clear, SMART objectives for planners, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews to ensure continuous improvement. Support professional development through training opportunities and systems like Lyric, BlueYonder, TMS, SAP, and Tableau. Additionally, the manager fosters a culture of accountability by setting high standards and ensuring planners complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks on time.
- Effective communication to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Leadership and motivational skills to lead team and maintain communication during emergencies
- Organizational skills to manage workflow and delegate work effectively
- Project management experience with inventory and capacity management methodologies
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years experience
