Your role: create and execute targeted workshops that generate measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support the expansion of this approach to campuses across the country.

This position focuses on data-informed teaching, collaboration with technology teams, and constructing a reading initiative that serves thousands of students—not administrative busywork.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conducting adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
  • Creating individualized motivational experiences through gamified literacy achievement markers
  • Reviewing student performance metrics to optimize teaching approaches and generate practical insights
  • Working alongside engineering teams to assess and improve AI-powered literacy platforms using classroom feedback
  • Building scalable, AI-supported instructional content that helps early elementary learners reach grade-level reading proficiency

Basic Requirements

Reading Program Coordinator key responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
  • Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
  • Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Plano, TX; Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
