Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Southern California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in analyzing business operations and facilitating digital transformation projects for the automotive industry. The position requires strong collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders and a solid ability to manage project deliverables and system enhancements following Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed system and business analysis to support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Facilitate workshops, including data analysis sessions and workflow evaluations, to gather and refine business requirements.

Develop and prioritize comprehensive backlogs by validating complex business needs and translating them into actionable plans.

Coordinate and lead stakeholder meetings, including scheduling, documenting minutes, and ensuring follow-ups.

Support production systems by troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary updates.

Design and execute test cases for complex batch and online processes, ensuring system functionality and reliability.

Prepare communication materials such as presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including business stakeholders.

Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for process automation and improvement.

Assist project managers with planning tools and, occasionally, take ownership of smaller project plans.

Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the cost, efficiency, and technical viability of proposed solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.

Familiarity with gathering, refining, and prioritizing complex business requirements.

Proficiency in creating business cases and conducting impact analyses to recommend solutions.

Ability to present and defend strategic decisions and business processes effectively.

Knowledge of compliance, governance structures, and audit requirements.

Strong communication and negotiation skills to facilitate agreements between business units and IT.

Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies for project management.

Competence in preparing and delivering presentations suitable for a variety of stakeholders.
