Your Mission:
We are seeking a proactive, target-oriented and detail-driven Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in the driving process quality improvements, resolving complex quality issues, and leading structured problem-solving initiatives using the 8D methodology. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and ensure long-term resolution and prevention. This position also includes responsibility for document control, ensuring that all quality-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly managed.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance & Process Control
- Monitor and improve process quality across warehouse operations.
- Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
- Lead and facilitate 8D problem-solving teams to address recurring quality issues.
- Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate defects and prevent recurrence.
- Track and report progress against quality objectives and issue resolution timelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with all warehouse departments to resolve quality concerns.
- Coordinate containment actions and communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Drive alignment and accountability for completing 8D reports and quality improvement plans.
- Document Control
- Maintain and manage quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
- Ensure document revisions are properly reviewed, approved, and distributed.
- Support audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.
- Administer document control systems and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Train and support team members in document control procedures and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and error reduction.
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze quality data and trends to guide decision-making and strategic improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role, in manufacturing or distribution center.
- Strong knowledge of 8D methodology, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Certified in or familiar with ISO 9001 requirements, including documentation, auditing, and compliance.
- Experience with document control systems and practices.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, goal-driven environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Experience with supplier quality and customer complaint resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
