The Buyer/Planner II plays a key role in overseeing and coordinating activities related to production planning, procurement, inventory management, facilities support, and shipping/receiving operations. This position may also include supervisory responsibilities, guiding the work of others as needed. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning/Buying for production and operational support materials in compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and Quality System standards.
  • Overseeing shipping and receiving processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizing Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) to optimize production schedules.
  • Conducting inventory management, ensuring quality control per company standards.
  • Managing facility maintenance to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Fostering supplier relationships and managing supply chain risk.
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and production teams.
  • Customer service focus with the ability to meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communication.
  • Strong mathematical and technical skills to interpret work instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain operational equipment as required.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred; ASCM or ISM certification (CPIM/CPSM) desired.
  • 5-7 years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in medical devices is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 standards for medical device manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MRP II systems.
