BayCare is currently in search of our newest Histologist who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Position Details

Location: St. Petersburg - Suncoast

Status: Full Time (Exempt)

Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (may vary)

Days: Monday – Friday

The Histologist Is Responsible For

• Responsible for all phases of tissue processing from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques
• Maintains all files, records, and documentation required by state and federal licensing boards
• Cleans and maintains equipment and instruments
• Stocks and maintains supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Education

• Required
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred
• Technical Histotechnology or Associates in a related field
  
  

Certifications

• Required
• ASCP-HT American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Preferred
• ASCP
  
  

Experience

• 1 year of laboratory related
