Lifeline Community Services is a nonprofit serving San Diego County. We support individuals and families through programs in housing, behavioral health, youth development, and anti-trafficking. Our work centers on trauma-informed, culturally responsive care and long-term stability for clients.
What the role involves
As Clinical Supervisor you will manage and support our behavioral health team. You’ll oversee intake, assessments, therapy, case management, crisis intervention, special-education support, and quality assurance. You will also supervise staff and trainees, ensuring compliance with best practices, documentation standards, and program goals.
Key tasks
- Supervise clinicians, interns, and trainees: provide orientation, individual and group supervision, evaluations, training and scheduling
- Oversee mental health, substance-use, and special-education programs: assessments, therapy, medication monitoring, rehab, case management, crisis intervention
- Design and implement treatment plans and behavior-analytic interventions for clients of all ages
- Ensure documentation, billing, compliance, contract requirements, and quality assurance
- Collaborate with schools, psychiatrists/therapists, social workers, law-enforcement, and community agencies as needed
- Contribute to program development, staff training (including HIPAA), policies, and integrated case-management approach
Qualifications
- MA in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
- Licensed in California (LCSW or LMFT) with Clinical Supervision Certification per BBS
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical and supervisory experience
- Strong background in working with at-risk youth, special-education populations, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices
- Excellent judgment, ethics, and communication skills
