Primary Job Functions
The primary job function for the JDT Specialist is to attain and maintain the mission of LifeSkills Unlimited by providing training and supervision to individuals in the JDT setting. In this environment, training and supervision may consist of teaching life, job or communication skills, working on meaningful projects, using vocational tools to learn a skill or trade to prepare them to enter the workforce, working on community-based projects or volunteering as determined by the individual and their Person Center Planning team.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

In this environment, training and supervision may consist of teaching life, job or communication skills, working on meaningful projects, using vocational tools to learn a skill or trade to prepare them to enter the workforce, working on community-based projects or volunteering as determined by the individual and their Person Center Planning team.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Support individuals to follow Person Centered Plan (PCP) by providing training and supervision as written per individual and team agreement
- Complete documentation for individuals as required based on Desired Outcomes and PCP plans
- Work as a team member for consistent, quality support of the individuals
- Ensure the health and safety of individuals is maintained at all times
- Engage in positive and professional communication with individuals and co-workers.
- Monitor health of the individuals by reporting all observations to the JDT Supervisor and/or the JDT Manager.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment
- Follow all corporate policies and procedures to attain and maintain the mission of LifeSkills Unlimited, Inc.
- Attend training as required to maintain employment status
- Assist individuals to problem solve in a positive manner
- Complete all reasonable assignments as directed by any corporate management team member
- Communicate with families, guardians, ADSD staff and corporate management team members in a positive, professional manner
- Attend hours of work as scheduled to ensure individuals receive consistent, quality supports
- Accurately document hours of work in agency time tracking system
- Paid training
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance available
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid Nevada Driver License or (Nevada ID work in SLA)
- Clean DMV history, and insurable to drive agency vehicles
- Must have a 'Negative' pre-employment drug screen result
- Basic Math Skills
- Read, write and understand English
- Clean Criminal Background
- Current CPR and First Aid Card (training provided)
- Proof of unexpired auto insurance and registration (preferred)
