Description

BASIC PURPOSE: Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Skills Development Specialist will deliver services to clients as requested by the referring entity. Services are provided in the community or family home. Services provided may include teaching daily living skills, money management, appropriate social interactions, conflict resolution, and time management.

This position typically starts at the mid wage range which can vary based on education and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate an effective approach based on the assessment and service plan provided by the referral source in order to provide skills-based education to the client and achieve determined goals.
  • Create timely, accurate and detailed notes to effectively document services delivered and to support billing activity and integrated case management.
  • Maintain updated and accurate billing for all client services provided.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ENVIRONMENT

Education, Training & Work Experience: Experience/knowledge working with children with behavioral struggles preferred. Maintain annual training hours required by FCC. A Bachelors degree is strongly preferred.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Trained in trauma informed care principles, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, skills-based interventions.

Equipment & Applications: Capable with Microsoft Office and Gmail/Calendar. Valid driver's license.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: General office setting conditions, to include work in client homes. Some local travel by car is required. Ability to maintain CPI principles if needed in a crisis situation.
