Morcon Construction is looking for a driven, and talented Project Engineer.
This position reports to Project Manager.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for providing administrative support to Project Manager and Superintendent through all major lifecycle stages of a project.
EXPECTATIONS OF ALL TEAM MEMBERS: Professional quality work product performed with initiative, productivity, a positive attitude and behavior. To work expeditiously with integrity and high ethical standards. What you will be doing
- RESPONSIBLE FOR GENERAL DAY-TO-DAY ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS TO SUPPORT PROJECT MANAGERS AND ON-SITE SUPERINTENDENTS.
- Management of daily field reports
- Monitoring subcontractors for submittals
- Scheduling and coordinating pre-installation meetings
- Management of Plan Grid / Autodesk
- Liaising between Project Managers, Superintendents and Subcontractors
- Manage and monitor project related Requests for Information (RFI's)
- Tracking and verification of Morcon timecards
- Maintain and organize electronic project filing systems
- Civil unit quantity tracking and verification
- Assis with federal, state and local EEO compliance as it relates to publicly funded construction projects
- Assist as needed with other administrative duties
- Other projects and programs assigned by Ownership
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- 2-year degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, or related degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain a positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with web-based applications
- Preference given for Sage 300 CRE experience
- Valid Driver's License
- ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires the following with or without and accommodation: sitting, walking, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, hearing, visual activity, and utilization of a computer and office equipment. The working environments consist of exposure to dirt, heat, cold, dust and outdoor weather; as well as indoor climate-controlled settings.
