Job Summary
- Assure aircraft maintenance work, materials and practices conform to FAA, customer, company and manufacturers' standards of quality.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Modify, repair, assemble, fabricate install structural components and aircraft parts
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations, their interpretation and application.
- Performs approved repair operations to structures including sheet metal and other structures.
- Repairs flight control surfaces, engine cowling, and fuel cell/tank maintenance
- Overhauls mechanical assemblies including repairs and part replacements.
- Documents maintenance/repair per company & FAA requirements on aircraft forms, records and workbooks
- Must own and be skilled in the use of structures hand tools related to the responsibilities described above.
- Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments.
- Works with close tolerance dimensions and various types of fasteners using common hand tools, special instruments and pneudraulic tools.
- Less than 3 years' experience - No A&P License
- No experience with A&P License
- 4 Years' experience with or without an A&P License
- Experience on at least 2 types of aircraft
- Experience on at least 2 types of engines
- Requires some direction and leadership training
