In accordance with the overall company compliance plan, the Compliance and Risk Manager is responsible for assisting in the process of developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with the property’s internal controls and standard operating procedures, so as to ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State gaming and non-gaming regulations. In addition, this position will be primarily responsible for guest and employee claims processing and insurance preparation and filings. The Compliance and Risk Manager reports directly to the Director of Compliance.
Assists the Director of Compliance with the overall administration of the AML Compliance Program including title 31 compliance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Communicates with the Indiana Gaming Commission and other state and local agencies as appropriate.
Assists the Director of Compliance in researching operational, compliance related issues and provides any self-reporting incidents to the Indiana Gaming Commission.
Respond to written notices, audit findings, and submits gaming rules, internal controls, standard operating procedures, exhibits, and compendiums for regulatory approval when required.
Provide property specific support in managing the regulatory affairs of the company.
Initially assists in the creation of the internal controls, certain standard operating procedures, and other required plans of the property in coordination with the Indiana Gaming Commission.
Helps maintain the appropriate databases when notified of new self-exclusions and Indiana Gaming Commission exclusions, exclusion removals, exclusion updates, self-exclusions, self-exclusion removals, and self-exclusion updates, ensure activity is properly inputted into the appropriate systems.
Assist the Director of Compliance with the monitoring and tracking of all related training.
Assists the Director of Compliance with CTR filing and documentation (including any amendments), supported by the research to report the CTRs conducted by Finance.
Assists in investigating and retrieving all applicable documentation when a Report of Unusual Activity (“RUA”) is received from team members, review with the AML Committee, and files all SARs that the AML Committee votes to file.
Assist in preparing applicable reports, schedules, and related for the Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors.
Provide assistance in data compilation to corporate for Indiana Gaming Commission related filings.
Documents, processes and records employee accidents and worker’s compensation injuries/incidents and completes appropriate OSHA filings, as well as, submissions to the appropriate insurance carriers and/or third party administrators. Candidate will work closely with employees and worker’s compensation carriers to manage claims.
Coordinates and reviews guest incidents and manages the settlement of minor guest claims.
Uploads all employee and guest incidents/accidents to appropriate insurance systems.
Directs Claims Review Committee meetings.
Works with Corporate to coordinate the property’s insurance renewals. Works closely with insurance brokers, third party administrators and vendors.
Provides support to the Director of Compliance and the Director of Security in the compilation and submission of filings to the Indiana Gaming Commission and other governmental agencies.
Coordinates and maintains contract/lease agreement files, vehicle/fleet records, required facility licenses and permits and various company matrices. Serves as the repository for contracts, licenses and permits and subpoenas.
Performs a variety of administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, giving information to callers, composing memos, transcribing notes, researching and creating presentations, filing, typing and file organization.
Handles multiple projects and prioritizes accordingly.
Confidentiality and strong ethical standards are a must.
May issue a complimentary in accordance with the approved comp matrix.
