Job Description

The Sales Manager - Avanza Autos by Jim Burke Ford Lincoln role is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives on helping others achieve their goals. Leading the team in such a manor will help consistently meet overall sales department performance targets. In addition, the Sales Manager (Avanza Autos) hires, trains, and monitors team member performance; resolves customer complaints; and helps with closings when necessary.

The ideal candidate has some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, certification, etc.), at least two years of experience in a large-volume dealership, some F&I experience, and some supervisory or management experience. Candidates must have strong business acumen and sales aptitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong leadership and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales team to achieve their goals
• Helps hire, train, and monitor team member performance and works with the other Sales Managers to coach and develop opportunities for team improvement.
• Ensures all sales targets are met or exceeded
• Performs qualified appraisals in a reasonable amount of time
• Provides timely and accurate reports on all sales activities as needed
• Monitors, merchandise, and adjust inventory to market demands
• Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
• Leads sales meetings
• Attends product and sales training courses as requested by the Sales Manager
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college preferred
• Two years of progressive and relevant experience
• Experience supervising and managing staff
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Strong leadership and motivational skills
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Outgoing personality and willing to work with the public on a daily basis
• Highly professional and dependable
• Proficient computer and internet skills
• Sales experience with verifiable proof of meeting sales targets

Sales Schedule

The Sales Team works a rotating schedule but must be available to work the following:

M-F 9 am - 6 pm

Sat 9 am - 6 pm

Sun. 10 am - 5 pm
