Housekeeper: Become a Heart of Our Memory Care Community!
Are you looking for a career that offers deep fulfillment and the chance to make a profound, positive difference every single day? At St. Ives Hometown Living of Johns Creek, our housekeepers are far more than maintenance staff—they are essential caregivers, comforting anchors, and vital members of our family. If you have a special place in your heart for seniors and want to combine your meticulous cleaning skills with genuine, compassionate interaction, then step into a role where your work truly matters. Your dedication to creating a clean, safe, and cheerful home is the foundation of our residents' dignity and well-being.
Your Essential Role: Creating Comfort and Connection
Your primary duty is to ensure every corner of our community feels sparkling clean, safe, and homelike. However, the true warmth of this role comes from your meaningful daily interactions with our residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Creating a Sanctuary: Be responsible for meticulous preparation of vacant rooms, ensuring new residents enter a pristine and welcoming space ready to become their new home.
You will be our champion for strictly adhering to sanitation protocols to protect our vulnerable residents from germs and illness.
Gently redirect a resident who seems lost, offer a kind word, or patiently listen to a story, even if it's the same one you heard yesterday. Your quiet, caring presence contributes directly to their emotional safety and happiness.
Your intimate knowledge of a resident's living space makes you a critical observer. You will gently and discreetly report any changes in a resident's condition, unusual observations, or safety concerns to the nursing team, serving as a key partner in their holistic care plan.
