Position Overview
The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs related to mechanical systems in various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical estimation and will work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure that all estimates meet project specifications and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to determine mechanical system requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems including HVAC and plumbing
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to prepare comprehensive estimates
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimation
• Provide input on value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for accurate pricing and project insights
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations

Qualifications

• 3+ years Mechanical Estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing
• Experience in healthcare construction projects, such as medical centers or hospitals required
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
