Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master’s degree in nursing, health administration (MHA), or business administration (MBA)
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex schedules, clinical placements, or educational programs
  • Knowledge of academic accreditation processes in healthcare programs
  • Experience developing training and orientation materials or educational resources
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in nurse anesthesia education administration or graduate-level clinical program management
  • Experience with clinical affiliation contracts
  • Familiarity with clinical hour tracking software (e.g., Typhon), student management systems (e.g. Project Concert) and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)
  • Experience leading or supporting accreditation reviews, program audits, or policy development
  • Advanced skills in project management and multi-site coordination
  • Conflict resolution, negotiation, and customer service experience in an academic or clinical environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee, organize, and maintain clinical affiliation agreements, amendments, and other contracts with hospitals and anesthesia groups, including renewal, onboarding, and record-keeping.
  • Assist the APD and clinical faculty in developing the clinical rotation schedules, ensuring all nurse anesthesiology residents are clinically cleared to start the rotation and that onboarding requirements are fulfilled.
  • Facilitate effective and timely communication between the NMSU Nurse Anesthesiology program and the clinical sites representatives, including clinical coordinators/preceptors, human resources, and other hospital entities.
  • Provide oversight of nurse anesthesiology resident compliance of clinical hours, case logs, clinical site and preceptor evaluations for COA compliance and internal assessment.
  • Review nurse anesthesiology resident clinical clearance items that require nursing knowledge and troubleshoot clinical clearance/compliance issues.
  • Support clinical site onboarding and orientation for nurse anesthesiology residents ensuring that facility-specific requirements are completed.
  • Ensure compliance with COA accreditation requirements for clinical sites, including record management and reporting.
  • Coordinate annual site visit schedules, collate site evaluations, prepare post-visit reports, and initiate follow-up actions from recommendations.
  • Develop and update training manuals and other resources for clinical coordinators and preceptors.
  • Gather, analyze, and report data for systematic program assessment related to COA standards and quality indicators.
