We are seeking a Parts Advisor to join our team. The Parts Advisor is responsible for ordering, distributing, and the billing of parts to customers (internal and external), while delivering the highest level of customer service. This Advisor may be selected to work in Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, or Hyundai.

Customer Service & Sales
We are seeking a Parts Advisor to join our team. The Parts Advisor is responsible for ordering, distributing, and the billing of parts to customers (internal and external), while delivering the highest level of customer service. This Advisor may be selected to work in Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, or Hyundai.
Parts Advisor responsibility is achieved, in part, by understanding and living the Sheppard Motors core values and by implementing the expectations of a Parts Advisor.
These responsibilities typically include:
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers (walk-in, phone, and online) and identify their parts needs.
- Recommend correct parts, accessories, and related products.
- Provide price quotes, availability, and additional product information.
- Upsell accessories or higher-quality parts when appropriate.
- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to supply parts needed for repairs.
- Interpret repair orders and identify parts required for each job.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts to service bays.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and help manage returns or core charges.
- Track special orders and notify customers or technicians when parts arrive.
- Use dealership management systems or parts catalog software to look up parts.
- Generate invoices, process payments, and manage warranty claims related to parts.
- Maintain organized records, including parts orders, returns, and inventory adjustments.
- Liaise with vendors and manufacturers to source parts.
- Communicate delays or issues to customers and service staff.
- Coordinate with the parts manager on inventory needs and department goals.
- Keep the parts counter and displays clean and professional.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and new vehicle models.
- Follow safety procedures when handling parts, chemicals, or equipment.
