EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years in food manufacturing
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- HACCP
- Able to run all of the equipment and processes in the Extract
- Direction setting for employees
- Ability to Train Effectively
- High attention to detail
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Frequent work in a hot and humid production environment
- Occasional work required outside in various temperatures
- This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines
- Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members
- All safety procedures in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with
- Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands/arms/legs, and eye/hand coordination for 6+ hours a day.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry 50 pounds
- Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling
- Able to access all areas of the plant including the roof and areas above equipment
- Ability to operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and other powered equipment and tools
- Must be able to wear all PPE that is required
- Operation, Setup, and Full understanding of all Extract Equipment and Processes
- Ensuring accurate completion of all documentation associated with the Extract Department
- Training and Coaching of Extract Personnel
- Maintaining Communication with the Management team regarding issues and progress in the Extract Department and sending out daily Shift Reports
- Ensuring proper Sanitation of the entire Extract Department and associated documentation
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Ensuring Extract Department Employees are adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Ensuring that Employees are working safely and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Assisting extract employees when needed
- Maintain product segregation and lot/batch management and ensuring proper labeling of products
- Understand, Ensure, and safely perform proper cleaning procedures, following SSOP guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by management
