- JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION:** Educates Community/Referral Sources on Baton Rouge General's Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services through defined marketing and educational efforts, and in a manner consistent with the Baton Rouge General's Behavioral Health Strategic Plan. Performs all duties for the age and clinical population served, as defined in the department's scope of service. Performs pre-admission screening for potential admissions into the BRG inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health programs.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:**
- Builds relationships with community professionals and initiates strategies to generate referrals to the Behavioral Health inpatient and outpatient program.
- Accurately updates BRG customer database with current client information and trends sales call data.
- Meets established referral/admission plan quota within established guidelines for expected volumes.
- Assists the Program Administrator and Program Manager in the planning and implementation of sales strategies and in identifying programs needed to better serve the community.
- Maintains accurate monthly reports for both the inpatient and outpatient department.
- Analyzes marketing data to develop strategies in accordance with strategic goals of the department, as directed by supervisor.
- Provides feedback within established timelines that accurately measures effectiveness of strategies.
- Maintains daily communication with co-workers to ensure quality service to all customers.
- Maintains and upgrades knowledge of products and services through defined sales/outreach meetings and training activities.
- Contributes to system planning efforts through mandatory participation in sales/outreach meetings as assigned.
- Communicates to clinical team the wants/needs/expectations of the community and referral sources.
- For continuum of care for our patients communicates to and updates the clinical team on services/resources available in the community.
**Performs Standards;**
- Maintains and upgrades knowledge on admit criteria for the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs **.**
- Maintains knowledge of admission/legal status of the Behavioral Health patient.
- Maintains knowledge of patient rights and the rights of the mentally ill.
Experience Requirements
Two years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting strongly preferred. Experience in sales/community outreach helpful.
**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
Masters Degree in Social Work/Allied Health or Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred.
**SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS**
Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work alone and utilize effective time management skills. Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing and data processing.
