Responsibilities

Under general supervision with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, performs responsible work in community outreach and follow-up in relation to ensuring accurate compensation. The selected candidate will provide administrative support and perform difficult and responsible clerical operations, with duties and responsibilities inclusive but not limited to the following:

  • Maintain, review and process long term leave of absences including FMLA, illness, child care and military leave.
  • Audit of electronic records.
  • Process separation of services including resignation, retirement, termination and end of program assignments.
  • Process actions to Payroll.
  • Process records of interagency transfers.
  • Perform related administrative responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to discreetly and competently handle sensitive and confidential information. 2. Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping. 3. Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, Personnel Rules and regulations of the City of New York and other governmental regulations. 4. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 5. Ability to meet strict deadlines. 6. Excellent communication skills.
