About The Job

Catface is seeking a creative and experienced Showrunner to manage and oversee the entire video production process from start to finish. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality video recordings, maintaining efficient communication across teams, and continuously improving the production pipeline. This role requires a passion for YouTube content, extensive knowledge of Minecraft gameplay, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee the preparation, production, and quality assurance of daily videos, ensuring that assets, sets, and tech scripts meet pre-production standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all teams involved in the production, ensuring clear and consistent communication across departments.
• Conduct thorough run-throughs before each recording to ensure smooth execution.
• Schedule and direct video recordings with cast members, collaborating closely with the Director to ensure top-quality production within set timelines.
• Provide detailed notes and feedback from recordings to the post-production team, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity.
• Review each step of the production process, proposing solutions to any issues that arise, and work with teams to enhance efficiency and workflow.
• Sit in on the start of recording sessions to ensure a smooth setup and provide ongoing support for any immediate adjustments.
• Review video edits, ensuring mistakes are removed and additional creative elements are added when necessary to enhance video appeal.
• Use performance data to drive continuous improvement in video content and production processes.
• Log and document any issues during recordings and conduct post-mortems with relevant teams to address these.
• Be available to assist with weekend review rotations.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for Minecraft/Roblox/YouTube gameplay, with a strong understanding of YouTube gaming content and the evolving platform landscape.
• 2+ years of experience working in video production, with experience leading teams in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing workflows and production demands.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in collaboration with small teams.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude, with a focus on collaboration and respect to achieve the highest quality content.
• Knowledge of video editing tools and production processes is essential.
• Ability to be agile and manage shifting priorities week by week in the dynamic YouTube environment.
• Based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate.
