Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a small team of non-exempt and exempt employees, while managing the day-to-day operations and financial performance of up to one subspecialty practice, with additional oversight of one to two other locations within the region.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily administrative and operational tasks.
- Supervise and provide leadership to administrative and support staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Responsible for performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Coordinate daily operations to ensure efficient patient flow, optimize appointment scheduling, and minimize wait times.
- Assist in managing office finances, including billing, invoicing, and expense tracking, to support the financial health of the practice.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Responsible for the ongoing development of employee engagement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in data analysis, financial management, and project management.
- Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Education: Associate's degree in healthcare administration required. In lieu of an Associate's degree, minimum 4 years of experience in healthcare administration is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Licensure: N/A
- Certification: Certificate in Healthcare Management required within 2 years of the role.
- Years of relevant experience: Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience required.
- Years of supervisory experience: Minimum 1 year of people management preferred.
