Highlights

Summary: The RN - Clinical Review Validator shall be responsible to verify treatment order prior to administration or dispensing of chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy treatments. The RN will work to prevent prescribing errors to ensure patient safety in outpatient infusion clinic. This individual will review treatment schedules, insurance authorization status, and verify current orders from outside referral providers. The RN will assist with routine patient schedule and scheduling conflicts to ensure treatment are administered on time. The RN will serve as a resource for infusion nursing staff. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education/Experience

Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 1-year oncology experience required. Advanced experience with EMR required.

Licensure/Certification

Active RN licensure required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, Chemo, ONCC, etc.) may be required depending upon area assigned.
